Deus Ex is a classic FPS video game with a great plot, interesting conspiracies, excellent character development, a touch of shitty philosophy and politics and some slight RPG tendencies. Also titties.

Pictured: Titties.

I mentioned RPG mechanics and I intend to get into those.

This is the character creation screen, where you can choose your starting skills and character appearance. Computer allows you to hack computers, electronics allow you to hack keypads and the like, and Lockpicking allows you to pick locks with greater ease. Environmental Training allows you to wear suits and armor to greater effect, Medicine allows you to heal yourself to a greater degree, and swimming allows you to swim for longer periods of time and allows you to go faster in the water. The weapons are self explanatory. You get points for completing objectives and side missions, exploring, and talking to characters. The more curious you are the more powerful you become. More on that later.

This is the augmentation screen. Augmentations are upgrades that you can apply to yourself from super strength and super speed, to allowing you to create a mini floating camera that can fly around and even seeing through walls. There are too many to go into detail here, but it's certain that you won't get all of them by simply going through the plot. You need to explore a lot and go out of your way to get these valuable upgrades.

This is your inventory screen, where you hold your weapons, items, and goodies.
In the game there are many weapons, from pistols to rocket launchers to laser swords. You can also upgrade your weapon to increase accuracy and range, reduce recoil and reload times, and even attach things such as scopes, silencers, and laser guides. You can only find all of these things by exploring and buying them from characters in the world. Exploring in the game is one of the things that makes the game so fun. You can snoop around and find things such as people's bank accounts for money, find illegal weapon dealers, and even the occasional vial of illegal drugs. By exploring you allow your character to be it's most powerful, by finding weaponry, skill points, and augmentations.

The characters in the game are one of the other strong suits. Although the models are dated and choppy, their personalities are lively and believable. Most characters have their own agenda and there's lies everywhere. The dialog is interesting and engaging, allowing you to select your own choices to change the plot. I don't want to get into each of the characters and secrets in detail, but int includes a crazy German, an angry Russian, the leader of the Illuminati, and leaders of underground subway societies.

THE NAMELESS MOD:
VIEW TRAILER
This here is simply one of the most amazing mods in video game history. It will give you several hours of gameplay and it is, in it's own right, it's own separate game with it's own massive city, new weapons, entire factions, side quests, secrets, a large cast, and brilliant art. It has a similar formula to Deus Ex with exploring the unbeaten trail for power, but it does this to a much greater degree. It's riddled with easter eggs and secrets and is definitely worth the price of $0.00

Bought it and its sequel on Steam when they were on sale for 5€ earlier. Don't see what's so fun about it, I find the gameplay to be pretty boring.

That's the game I never got to play, or find.
I can't make online purchases.
